"Climbing is such a big part of my life; it is hard for me to imagine what life would be like without the sport."
1. What do you do when you are not climbing? (Other hobbies/ sports)
When I’m not climbing, I love to ski in the winter, mountain bike, and run. I also paint a little bit and have played the violin since I was 5 years old.
2. If you had to name one thing that gets you totally psyched about climbing, what would that be?
Although I am relatively new to the outdoor climbing world, I really have fallen in love with it. I enjoy being out in fresh air and in beautiful places and I find it easier to try my hardest when on real rock.
3. What is the most memorable climb/ boulder problem that you have ever completed or attempted?
A couple months ago, I spent a week and a half projecting Mind Stream. This climb meant a lot to me because it was my first true project. Up until this point, I had never tried a climb for more than a few sessions. I also really the process because every session I could see the linear progress I was making.
4. Do you have any ongoing projects that are just killing you?
Currently, I don’t have enough time to really be able to project anything, but I recently went to Colorado and am really excited to one day go back out and revisit some boulders I tried.
5. If you never discovered climbing, what would you be doing now?
Climbing is such a big part of my life; it is hard for me to imagine what life would be like without the sport. Before I started climbing, I was really into Track and Cross Country, so I’d imagine that I would be continuing down that path.
6. Favorite music to send to!?
I usually listen to whatever others are playing, but although it’s not necessarily “sending music”, I like to listen to Jack Johnson when I climb.
7. Climber that you most look up to?
I have always really admired Margo Hayes, not only because she is a very strong person, but also because she seems super nice.
8. Top 3 Climbing locations?
1. Smugglers Notch
2. Smugglers Notch
3. Smugglers Notch (I haven’t really climbed enough anywhere outside of Smuggs.)
9. Why do you climb?
I am absolutely in love with the sport not only because it is a great challenge and really fun, but also because the people I have met through climbing are some of the nicest, most genuine people I know.
